Pet Groomer

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Groomer to provide professional grooming services for dogs and cats. The ideal candidate has a deep love for animals,

excellent customer service skills, and a solid understanding of different breeds and coat types. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our furry clients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform grooming services: Conduct bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, and styling tailored to the pet’s specific breed and the owner’s requests.
• Ensure hygiene: Provide thorough nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and de-shedding treatments.
• Prioritize animal safety: Handle all pets with patience and care, using proper techniques to soothe anxious animals and ensure a stress-free grooming experience.
• Assess pet health: Inspect pets for potential health issues such as skin conditions, ear infections, fleas, and ticks, and inform owners of any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment: Sanitize all grooming tools and workstations before and after each client to adhere to hygiene and safety standards.
• Provide customer service: Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their needs, provide grooming recommendations, and address any questions or concerns.
• Manage operations: Keep accurate records of services performed for each client and, if required, handle scheduling appointments.
• Advise on pet care: Educate pet owners on at-home care techniques and best practices to maintain their pet’s coat and overall hygiene.

Requirement:

• Animal handling: Proven experience with safe and gentle animal handling techniques for pets of various sizes and temperaments.
• Technical grooming skills: Proficiency with professional grooming tools, including clippers, scissors, and different types of brushes.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented approach for building trust with both pets and their owners.
• Patience and compassion: A genuine love for animals and the ability to remain calm and composed, especially with anxious or difficult pets.
• Physical stamina: The ability to stand for long periods, as well as lift and maneuver pets of various weights.
• Detail-oriented: Exceptional attention to detail to achieve precise grooming results and identify potential health concerns.
