Plant HR(Apparel & Fashion) | Bangalore | Full-time (WFO)

About the Role:
As Plant HR Executive, you will be the single point of contact for all people operations at our facility. You will own the full employee lifecycle for production and factory staff, ensure labour law compliance, and build people processes from the ground up alongside the founders.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
• Drive end-to-end hiring for factory roles — tailors, cutters, finishing staff, QC executives, supervisors, helpers, etc.
• Build and maintain a talent pipeline for critical factory roles in Design and manage induction programs to ensure smooth onboarding of production staff.
• coordination with the production team.
Payroll, Attendance & Leave
• Oversee daily attendance, shift records, and leave management for factory floor staff.
• Coordinate with the finance team for accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Maintain accurate HRMS records and generate MIS reports as required.
Labour Law & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with applicable labour laws — Factories Act, ESI, PF, Professional Tax, Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, and Shops & Establishment Act.
• Manage statutory compliances, registers, and records required under Karnataka labour regulations.
• Liaise with government bodies and labour inspectors as needed.
• Manage contract labour documentation, vendor coordination, and compliance audits.
Employee Relations & Welfare
• Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and disciplinary matters on the factory floor.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives to build a positive, retention-focused factory culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and welfare measures in line with factory regulations.
• Conduct exit interviews, manage Full & Final settlements, and track attrition trends.
HR Operations & Process Building
• Build and document HR SOPs, policies, and processes from the ground up for a fast-scaling manufacturing setup.
• Coordinate manpower planning with the production team based on order volumes and production schedules.
• Drive training and development programs for factory staff — skill upgradation, safety, and compliance training.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have
• 4-6 years of hands-on HR experience in a manufacturing / factory setting.
• Strong working knowledge of Factories Act, ESI, PF, Contract Labour Act, and Karnataka labour regulations.
• Experience managing blue-collar workforce recruitment, payroll, and compliance.
• Proficiency in attendance management systems and basic MS Excel / Google Sheets.
• Comfortable communicating in Kannada and Hindi with factory floor staff; English for management reporting.
Good to Have
• Prior experience in garment, apparel, or textile manufacturing.
• Familiarity with HRMS tools
• Experience setting up HR processes from scratch in a startup or greenfield facility.
