Restaurant Helper

Job SummaryWe are looking for a hardworking and reliable Restaurant Helper to support our kitchen and packaging team. The candidate will be responsible for keeping the kitchen clean, preparing vegetables, washing utensils, and packing online food delivery orders (Swiggy, Zomato, Dunzo, etc.) in a quick and hygienic manner. Free stay and food will be provided.

Key Responsibilities•     Wash, clean and properly arrange all utensils, plates, cookware, glasses and kitchen equipment after every use.

•     Cut, chop, peel and prepare vegetables, fruits and other raw ingredients as per the cook's instructions.

•     Pack online food delivery orders (Swiggy, Zomato, Dunzo, etc.) neatly, label them correctly and hand them over to delivery partners on time.

•     Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen floor, cooking stations, sinks and storage areas at all times.

•     Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation work whenever required.

•     Refill kitchen items such as oil, masalas, water and other supplies during the shift.

•     Segregate and dispose of kitchen waste, used oil and garbage as per restaurant rules.

•     Receive and store vegetables, groceries and other deliveries in the correct place.

•     Follow all food safety, hygiene and personal grooming standards (clean uniform, cap, gloves, etc.).

•     Support the team during peak hours, weekends and festival rush.

Candidate Requirements•     Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Helper / Kitchen Assistant / Cleaner in a restaurant, hotel, cloud kitchen or catering company.

•     Basic knowledge of vegetable cutting, washing utensils and kitchen hygiene.

•     Good physical stamina - able to stand for long hours and lift moderate weights.

•     Punctual, honest and willing to work in shifts including evenings and weekends.

•     Able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions from the head cook or manager.

•     Should be neat, clean and willing to follow uniform and hygiene rules.

•     Knowledge of Hindi / Kannada / English (any one) is sufficient.

Preferred / Good to Have•     Prior experience in handling online delivery packing (Swiggy / Zomato).

•     Experience working in a South Indian / North Indian / multi-cuisine restaurant.

•     Basic understanding of FSSAI hygiene practices.
