Job SummaryThe Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of The Organic World store, ensuring excellent customer experience, optimal sales performance, efficient inventory management, and adherence to organic standards and company policies. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong retail management experience and a passion for organic and sustainable living.
- Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations & SalesManage end-to-end store operations, ensuring smooth daily functioning
- Achieve sales targets, improve store profitability, and drive revenue growth
- Analyze sales data, footfall, and conversion to plan promotions and merchandising strategies
- Ensure high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising
- Customer ExperienceDeliver exceptional customer service aligned with The Organic World brand ethos
- Build long-term customer relationships and handle escalations efficiently
- Educate customers on organic products, sourcing, and healthy living practices
- Inventory & Supply Chain ManagementEnsure accurate stock levels through effective inventory planning and control
- Monitor stock rotation, expiry management, and shrinkage control
- Coordinate with central warehouse/vendors for timely replenishment
- Ensure compliance with organic certification and quality standards
- Team Management & DevelopmentRecruit, train, and retain store staff
- Set performance goals, conduct appraisals, and provide regular feedback
- Schedule manpower efficiently to meet business requirements
- Foster a positive, high-performance work culture
- Compliance & ReportingEnsure adherence to company policies, SOPs, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Manage cash handling, billing accuracy, and daily store MIS
- Prepare and submit sales, inventory, and operational reports
- Ensure statutory and audit compliances
- Key Requirements5+ years of proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in retail
- Experience in organic food, grocery, FMCG, or specialty retail preferred
- Strong knowledge of retail KPIs (sales, margins, shrinkage, inventory turns)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer-handling skills
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and festivals as required
- Proficient in POS systems and basic MS Office
- Preferred QualificationsGraduate/Postgraduate in Business, Retail Management, or related field
