Studio Manager – Roles & ResponsibilitiesPosition SummaryThe Studio Manager at 9Round Kickboxing Fitness is responsible for driving the operational, financial, and cultural success of the studio. This leadership role focuses on maximizing membership growth, delivering the signature 9Round high-energy workout experience, and overseeing the daily administrative and coaching operations of the business.

Core MissionTo cultivate a thriving, motivating community environment that retains current members, actively acquires new ones, and builds a high-performing coaching team dedicated to the 9Round brand promise.

  • 1. Sales & Membership GrowthLead Generation & OutreachExecute daily local marketing activities.
  • Conduct B2B outreach and community networking.
  • Follow up on digital leads to maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective members.
  • First-Time Workout ConversionsGuide first-time guests through the 9Round circuit.
  • Deliver an exceptional introductory workout experience.
  • Effectively convert trial members into paid memberships.
  • Membership Retention & RenewalsMonitor member attendance and engagement.
  • Reach out to inactive or disengaged members.
  • Resolve billing concerns and manage membership renewals or upgrades.
  • Retail & Merchandise SalesPromote and sell 9Round branded merchandise.
  • Drive sales of boxing gloves, hand wraps, PULSE heart rate monitors, and nutritional products.
  • 2. Studio Operations & AdministrationFacility ExcellenceEnsure the studio remains clean, safe, and operationally ready at all times.
  • Maintain equipment, bags, pads, and workout stations according to brand standards.
  • Schedule & Roster ManagementPrepare and manage staff schedules.
  • Ensure adequate trainer coverage during operating hours.
  • Inventory ControlMonitor stock levels of retail products, cleaning supplies, and office materials.
  • Place timely reorders while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Financial Reporting & Performance MetricsTrack key performance indicators including:

  • New memberships
  • Membership cancellations
  • Retail sales revenue
  • Total active member count
  • Provide regular performance reports to ownership.
  • 3. Trainer Leadership & DevelopmentTeam Mentorship & CoachingTrain and develop coaching staff.
  • Ensure consistency in delivering the 9Round 30-minute circuit format.
  • Performance ManagementConduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Maintain high levels of trainer engagement, enthusiasm, and accountability.
  • Culture BuildingFoster a positive, energetic, and supportive workplace environment.
  • Encourage teamwork and professional development.
  • 4. The 9Round Floor ExperienceActive Floor CoachingLead by example through regular coaching on the workout floor.
  • Guide members through exercises and proper kickboxing techniques.
  • Provide modifications based on individual fitness levels.
  • Atmosphere ManagementMaintain the signature 9Round energy and member experience.
  • Ensure music, motivation, and workout flow remain engaging and seamless.
  • Heart Rate Technology IntegrationEducate members on using the 9Round PULSE heart rate tracking system.
  • Help members maximize workout performance and achieve fitness goals.
  • 5. Marketing & Community EngagementSocial Media ExecutionCapture photos, videos, member milestones, and success stories.
  • Manage local studio social media channels to increase engagement.
  • Events & ChallengesPlan and execute member appreciation events.
  • Organize themed workouts and seasonal fitness challenges.
  • Strengthen community engagement and member loyalty.
