Assistant Manager

We are recruiting for the Assistant Manager position in the UK Tax compliance team with subject matter expertise in UK Tax Compliance and Tax Accounting.
•The role involves supporting both compliance and advisory work across operational taxes. Responsibilities will typically include:•Building technical knowledge across operational taxes, including EU withholding tax (‘Fokus Bank’) reclaims, Information Reporting (FATCA&CRS, BBSI, ISA’s, CARF etc.) and related areas, with support from senior team members.•Assisting with the delivery of client engagements, including preparation of cost benefit analyses, status summary reports, data review and validation, data report generation based on information provided and client deliverables.•Supporting day‑to‑day client relationships and responding to client queries under supervision.•Developing an understanding of clients’ businesses and the Financial Services operating environment.•Working collaboratively with teams across KPMG to deliver operational tax and related services.•Supporting senior team members on advisory projects and the development of new client propositions.•Assisting with business development activities, such as preparing proposals, credentials and marketing materials.•Engaging with technology‑enabled solutions and tools used in the delivery of operational tax services.•Contributing to a positive team culture and demonstrating KPMG values in all client and internal interactions.
Educational qualifications
•Degree from reputable university with excellent academic result.•Possession of a relevant UK qualification (CA, ACCA, ACA, ATT, or CTA) would be highly desirable. (Please note that the business may require a successful applicant to start to pursue a UK tax qualification upon joining, if not already obtained).•Work experience
•Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in UK Tax Compliance. An experience in Financial Services sector is always an added advantage.Experience Level
