Assistant Manager
•The role of Assistant Manager within Managed Services Risk & Assurance function effectively supports key risk and assurance deliverable across the onshore and offshore operations. This is a fast- paced varied role where day to day responsibilities revolve around identifying and assessing both Operational and Regulatory Risks, including maintenance of a strong control testing environment across the operations.•The Risk & Assurance Assistant Manager is a motivated self-starter, able to work both within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision to lead the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of key risks across Managed Services. This Assistant Manager level role will play a pivotal part in shaping the risk management framework, driving cross-functional risk initiatives, and advising senior leadership on emerging risk trends and mitigation strategies.•The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of risk governance, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk principles, with the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution.•As such the role requires high attention to detail, the ability to build and leverage strong working relationships together with a strong verbal and written communication skills.•Identify and assess Operational and Regulatory risks across Managed Services and maintain a strong control testing environment across the operation.•Ensure that business unit policies and procedures reflect current regulatory requirements and support Managed Services compliance with all relevant regulatory obligations including adequate management information, record keeping and breach reporting.•Conduct operation-based internal audits to evaluate internal controls, identify process inefficiencies, and recommend risk mitigation strategies.•Identify and assess on-ground operational risks and issues and help create a strong risk and control awareness across Managed Services operational teams.•Lead risk assessments and facilitate risk workshops across business units to identify, quantify, and prioritize risks.•Monitor the organization’s risk exposure across financial, operational, strategic, and compliance domains.•Ensure Information Security risks are effectively managed in line with client expectations and work extensively with KPMG internal information risk and ITS teams to apply appropriate standards.•Prepare and present regular risk reports and dashboards to senior management and the board.•Develop and maintain risk registers, key risk indicators (KRIs), and risk appetite statements.•Work with department heads to design and implement mitigation plans for high-priority risks.•Oversee risk incident reporting and root cause analysis processes.••Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and support audit readiness.•Mentor and guide junior risk analysts and support a culture of risk awareness throughout the company.•Stay up to date with industry risk trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
Mandatory technical & functional skills
•Knowledge of key regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, COBIT etc.).•Experience managing risk in a rapidly evolving or high-growth organization•Problem solving skills•In Depth understanding of risk and compliance management•Good relationship management skills and the ability to influence•Working experience/ good product knowledge of MS Office packages•Proven ability to manage and co-ordinate multiple tasks•Good interpersonal and communication skills•Strong documentation skills•Any Risk or compliance certifications will be an added advantage•Knowledge of operational Risk Management and experience partnering with internal and external stakeholders•Awareness of relevant rules and regulation on data protection; and other financial industry related legislations, procedures, and processesExperience Level
