Associate 1 - RMS (Engagement Matters)
Roles & responsibilities
Be a part of the team that is responsible for service delivery and ensure the quality and timely delivery of Independence requests.
—Assist in maintaining Independence in accordance with professional standard and firm policies —Research and collate required organizational information from various external and internal tools Analyze the client corporate structure, its affiliates, service line and people of the firm to be Independent from the Audit client with regards to different regulatory authority. —Perform research, analyze data, make rule-based decisions and determinations and document results to support conclusions. —To support the Engagement Teams on new client acceptance by collating information from various external and internal sources and conducting analysis on its independence. —Use tools and techniques to perform Independence related checks on mergers and acquisition of various audit and non-audit clients —Understand the independence aspects related to acceptance of new audit clients and conflict checks —Ensure the work is performed with high quality and completed within agreed turnaround time —Escalate immediately, any issues identified to the GDC Seniors, so that the quality and turnaround time are not impactedMandatory technical & functional skills
—Basic knowledge of Audit and Risk managementProficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

—Willingness and capability to deliver under tight deadlines —Critical thinking, analytical and research skills with the ability to evaluate information to make decisionsStrong organizational and communication skills with attention to details and documentation standards
