Life on the Team

At Computacenter looking for functional consultant within a specialist area (e.g. a Product) with peers and customer stakeholders - Gathering requirements, creating functional & technical designs and specifying solutions. Carrying out the technical delivery activities to agreed timescales. Advises on standard solution capabilities and opportunities to adopt/adapt those in the CC system landscape to optimise the requirement for custom development. Act as a point of escalation on complex issues and providing appropriate support to other team members. 

What You'll Do

• As a Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for the design & implementation of the associated platforms/modules that underpin multiple services supporting Computacenter’s enterprise and partner services. You will work with team-members and other product teams and GIS Peers to provide best in class solutions and facilitate agile delivery.
• Capture and validate requirements (functional & non-functional).
• Create functional/technical specifications together with peers based on those requirements and inter-system dependencies. 
• Create the technical solutions in time and budget, and according to defined quality standards and processes.
• Act as a point of escalation/expertise on complex issues and support other team members.
• Perform System testing esnuring the solution is suitable to progress to Business test
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure best practice and continual improvement in delivery of service to the business. 
• Establish productive relationships and networks at Senior Management level to build and maintain customer relationships
• Adhere to quality measures and standards in the relevant specialist area and ensures that these are continuously used.
• Make changes to services without unplanned outages through robust release & change management and accurate asset and config management 
• Identify system optimizations pro-actively and continuously and provide proposals for optimization projects.
• Is knowledge leader and shares knowledge pro-actively to help improving functional team performance and efficiency.
• Document all work in accordance with agreed standards and conduct reviews and updates of all relevant specifications and deliverables.
• Works together with Principal consultants, Architects and others to develop options of enabling new technologies in the CC system landscape.
• Searches proactively for improvement options in their relevant area.

 

What You'll Need

• A good understanding of business processes within their specialist scope 

• A comprehensive knowledge of the system functionality from both a user and a system configuration perspective. 
• Technical specifications with Sap cloud commerce or Bepsoke or Azure added advantage

• Able to document system design requirements and specifications in a clear, unambiguous manner. 

• A good understanding of the infrastructure supporting the applications especially interfaces. 

• Good understanding of software development principles and methodologies 

• Takes a logical, analytical approach to problem solving and takes responsibility in resolving. 

• Writes and speaks fluently on all aspects of work and communicates effectively 

• Works effectively as part of a team
