Job Description

Your Responsibilities:
Technical Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL jobs using SAP Data Services (BODS) to extract, transform, and load data from multiple legacy systems into SAP S/4HANA.
• Develop data migration jobs using IDocs, BAPIs, LSMW, LTMC, and Migration Cockpit methodologies.
• Analyze source data structures, dependencies, and mappings to design effective migration strategies and transformation logic.
• Build and execute complex scripts, queries, and workflows to support end‑to‑end data migration processes.
• Implement advanced transformation logic including lookups, joins, aggregations, data quality rules, and cleansing routines.
• Develop BODS jobs to generate pre‑load, validation, and post‑load reconciliation reports to support data readiness and stakeholder visibility.
• Optimize Data Services jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability across all load cycles.
• Support Data Readiness Analysts by developing or enhancing SAP HANA views used for data validation and profiling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration, transformation, and load issues across environments.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ETL jobs, frameworks, and processes in alignment with ADM governance standards.

Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Support

• Work closely with Data Readiness Analysts, Solution Delivery teams, functional SMEs, and architects to understand data requirements and source‑to‑target mappings.
• Coordinate with BASIS and technical infrastructure teams to deploy BODS jobs across environments.
• Partner with business stakeholders to validate data migration requirements and ensure alignment with functional objectives.
• Participate in peer reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior developers as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and process optimization.

Project Execution

• Execute ETL development tasks supporting Tech Loads, Mock Loads, Dress Rehearsals, and Production Loads.
• Monitor job execution, identify bottlenecks, and implement fixes or optimizations in real time.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on data migration errors and discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support post‑load validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and business readiness.
• Maintain detailed status tracking and communicate progress, risks, and blockers proactively.
• Contribute to project plans, timelines, and resource estimates for data migration activities.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in data migration, ETL development, or SAP BODS‑related roles.
• 2+ years of experience loading data into SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong proficiency in designing, developing, testing, and deploying SAP Data Services jobs, including:
  • Job design and workflow creation
  • ETL processes
  • Data quality and cleansing techniques
  • Performance tuning and optimization
  • Error handling and logging
  • Repository management and version control
• Experience with SAP migration methodologies (IDoc, BAPI, LSMW, LTMC/Migration Cockpit).
• SQL expertise for data manipulation, querying, and transformation across multiple database platforms.
• Experience with SAP HANA and calculation views (preferred).
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems (S/4HANA) and core data structures.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in English.
