We’re looking for a Full-stack Engineer (front-end focussed) at EY GDS. You will work on designing and implementing modern web applications with a focus on front-end development using Angular or React.js with TypeScript. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, deploy, and manage scalable back-end services, APIs, and database integrations that meet business needs and leverage best practices in full-stack development and cloud technologies. EY Risk and Compliance Engineering is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services that leverage deep industry experience with strong functional capability and product knowledge. The Risk and Compliance Engineering (RCE) practice works with clients to analyse, formulate, design, mobilize and drive digital transformation initiatives. We advise clients on their most pressing digital challenges and opportunities surround business strategy, customer, growth, profit optimization, innovation, technology strategy, and digital transformation.  We also have a unique ability to help our clients translate strategy into actionable technical design, and transformation planning/mobilization.  Through our unique combination of competencies and solutions, EY’s RCE team helps our clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations.

 

Your key responsibilities

• Front-End Development: Develop and maintain front-end applications using Angular or React.js with TypeScript.
• API Integration: Collaborate in building and consuming REST APIs and GraphQL services.
• Back-End Development: Contribute to development of back-end technologies using Java, Python, or Node.js and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, write tests, and ensure maintainable, high-quality code.
• Deployment: Work with CI/CD pipelines and support deployment activities.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality end-to-end solutions.
• Technology Updates: Stay updated with emerging web technologies and apply best practices in performance and security.

 

Skills and attributes for success

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Angular or React.js and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and ES8+.
• Knowledge of state management, component-driven architecture, and responsive design.
• Exposure to Java, Python, or Node.js for back-end development.
• Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Development experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Basic exposure to Docker and containerized deployments is a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices and methodologies.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

 

Education:

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
