Position Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Value Creation Team. This role will focus on executing complex projects that enhance client value through operational assessments, transformation initiatives, and cost reduction strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in M&A, operational due diligence, and value creation methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution: Lead the execution of complex value creation projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and timely delivery of results.
- Operational Assessments: Conduct thorough operational assessments to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable solutions that drive value.
- Transformation Initiatives: Support clients in implementing transformation strategies that enhance operational performance and achieve cost savings.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, providing expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on project execution and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Business Development Support: Assist in business development activities by preparing presentations and participating in client meetings to showcase our value proposition.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- M&A Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong understanding of the M&A lifecycle, including post-merger integration and carve-out strategies.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities with experience in financial modeling and operational analysis linked to P&L impacts.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving skills with a track record of developing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Education: Postgraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, engineering, or a related field from a reputable institution.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in consulting or industry roles focused on operational assessment, transformation, or value creation projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analysis tools is advantageous.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel as required for client engagements.
