Job Description

Financial Analyst II

Are you a finance professional who thrives at the intersection of data, analytics, and strategic decision-making? Do you love turning complex financial data into clear, compelling insights that drive real business impact? If so, this is the role for you! Join our Risk Data Solutions Finance team in Bangalore and be part of a team that is redefining how finance operates in a data-driven world.

About the Role

As a Financial Analyst within the RDS Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial performance management, planning, and reporting across the division. This is a dynamic, high-impact role that blends FP&A, business partnering, data analytics, and automation — giving you the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of finance activities while driving meaningful improvements in how data is used to support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the existing finance data model, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability

  • Support monthly and quarterly projection and reporting cycles, delivering timely and high-quality outputs

  • Perform variance analysis to identify and communicate key business drivers impacting financial performance

  • Partner with stakeholders across Product, Sales, Operations, and Finance to provide actionable, data-driven insights

  • Support the Annual Planning process for the division, coordinating inputs and ensuring alignment across teams

  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, concise recommendations for senior decision-makers

  • Build and maintain dashboards, automated reports, and analytical tools that improve reporting efficiency

  • Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and governance processes across the finance function

  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes, driving continuous improvement

  • Support IFRS 15 contract assessments, revenue analysis, and related finance processes

  • Contribute to audit, risk, and control activities as required, ensuring compliance and robust financial governance

About the Team

The RDS Data, Automation & Reporting team is based in Bangalore and plays a central role in managing reporting and planning data infrastructure, modelling, and analytics. Acting as a key partner to the global RDS Finance team, the team operates as a unified finance function — supporting the RDS Management Team with high-quality insights, planning support, and financial decision-making. This is a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values curiosity, innovation, and a continuous improvement mindset.

About You

You are an analytically minded finance professional who is equally comfortable working with numbers and engaging with stakeholders. You bring a natural curiosity to your work, are not afraid to challenge the status quo, and are passionate about using data and technology to make finance smarter and more efficient. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities without compromising on quality, and bring a collaborative spirit to everything you do.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, business finance, controlling, analytics, or related roles

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with demonstrated ability to build complex financial models and executive-level presentations

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark or similar analytical tools, with the ability to work with large datasets and build scalable analytical solutions

  • Hands-on experience with Palantir / Stargate applications preferred, with the ability to navigate and leverage these platforms for financial reporting and analytics

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience in data model building and maintenance, with an understanding of data architecture and governance best practices

  • Familiarity with SaaS or fee-based business models, and an understanding of the financial dynamics of technology-driven businesses

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, with the ability to design intuitive, insight-driven dashboards

  • Exposure to automation, data pipelines, or self-service analytics, and a track record of driving process improvements

  • Strong understanding of, or demonstrated motivation to develop expertise in, financial performance drivers and planning processes, including IFRS 15 or comparable revenue recognition frameworks.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation, efficiency, and innovation

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
