As a lead engineer, you serve as the technical anchor for the engineering team that supports a product. You create, own and are responsible for the application architecture that best serves the product in its functional and non-functional needs. You identify and drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development or improve the quality of service (or both). You have deep and broad engineering skills and are capable of standing up an architecture in its whole on your own, but you choose to influence a wider team by acting as a “force multiplier”. Kubernetes Platform Engineer
We are looking for a Kubernetes Platform Lead Engineer with strong experience in cloud-native infrastructure, platform engineering, and Kubernetes ecosystem technologies.
Required Skills
Strong development experience in Go (Golang)
Hands-on experience building and operating Kubernetes-based platforms
Experience with GitOps tools and practices (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux)
Strong understanding of Observability frameworks, including monitoring, logging, and tracing
Experience with Talos Linux and Linux system administration
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including Kubernetes networking and service connectivity
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and managing Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems in production environments
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) and/or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
Experience with platform automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native security best practices
Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate Kubernetes-based platform services
Develop platform tooling and automation using Go
Implement and manage GitOps workflows for application and infrastructure deployment
Enhance platform observability, reliability, and operational excellence
Manage and optimize GKE clusters and supporting cloud infrastructure
Collaborate with engineering teams to enable scalable and secure cloud-native solutions
