Lead Software Engineer – Workday Prism and Accounting Center

Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled Workday professional with hands-on experience in Workday Prism Analytics and Workday Accounting Center (WAC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data integrations, financial transformations, and reporting solutions that enhance financial visibility and streamline accounting processes.

What you’ll do:

Workday Prism Analytics

• Design, build, and maintain Prism data pipelines (data sourcing, blending, transformation, and publishing).
• Load and transform large datasets into Workday using Prism.
• Develop calculated fields, custom datasets, and dashboards.
• Create financial and operational reports leveraging Prism data.
• Optimize performance of Prism datasets and manage data security.
• Support finance and reporting teams with advanced analytics solutions.

Workday Accounting Center (WAC)

• Configure Accounting Center transformations and rules.
• Design and implement accounting mappings and posting logic.
• Build and maintain Accounting Rules, Journal Sources, and Journal Line Rules.
• Support inbound integrations from sub-ledgers or external systems.
• Troubleshoot journal generation and reconciliation issues.
• Partner with Finance to ensure accurate ledger postings.

Integration & Data Management

• Develop and support EIBs, Core Connectors, and custom integrations.
• Manage data loads, transformations, and validation processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and audit compliance.
• Support testing cycles (Unit, SIT, UAT).

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders.
• Participate in requirement gathering and solution design workshops.
• Provide production support and issue resolution.
• Document configurations and business processes.
• Support Workday releases and enhancements.

What we are looking for:

• 10+ years of Overall experience. 5/6 Years of Workday experience
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Workday Prism Analytics
  • Workday Accounting Center
  • Workday Financials
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GL, journals, reconciliation).
• Experience building accounting rules and transformations.
• Experience with Workday integrations (EIB, Studio preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
