Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant_ Workday Finance Functional 

This role serves as a strategic liaison between Finance, ESS (Enterprise Services & Solutions, formerly GBS), and our IT Development Factory. The consultant will play a pivotal role in translating complex business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions, guiding the finance roadmap, and ensuring alignment between finance stakeholders and technology delivery teams. 

Responsibilities  

• Business-IT Translation: Act as a bridge between FIN/ESS and IT, translating business requirements into clear, actionable functional and technical specifications for the Workday platform. 

• Finance Roadmap Oversight: Drive the evolution of the finance roadmap in collaboration with FIN and ESS leadership, ensuring strategic alignment and prioritization of initiatives within your assigned area primarily core financial modules. 

• Solution Delivery: Oversee and support the delivery of high-quality Workday solutions, ensuring on-time, in-scope, and in-budget execution in partnership with IT and external vendors. 

• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with FIN and ESS stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction with progress, timely communication, and effective management of expectations across all Workday-related initiatives. 

• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and best practices to optimize the employee experience and operational efficiency within the Workday ecosystem. 

• Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to finance governance, change management protocols, data privacy, and security standards. 

Qualifications we seek in you!  

Minimum Qualifications/ skills  

• Workday experience across multiple modules viz Accounting & Finance, covering General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Revenue Management, and Expenses. 

• Proven experience acting as a translator between business and technical teams, with a strong understanding of both finance function / processes and Workday configuration. 

• Experience in leading or supporting financials end-to-end, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment. 

• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a consultative mindset and ability to influence without authority. 

• Deep familiarity with Workday tools and functionality; experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar platforms is a plus. 

• MBA/CA with Workday certification(s) preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills  

• Proven expertise in Workday viz Accounting & Finance, covering General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Revenue Management, and Expenses. 

• Strong track record of leading financial technology transformations and system implementations. 

• Deep knowledge of finance ERP, strategy, governance, and optimization. 

• Ability to drive digital transformation and automation in finance processes. 

• Strong project management and change leadership skills. 

• Expertise in data analytics, workforce insights, and reporting tools. 

• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration abilities. 

Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus
