Team: Airbus India - Engineering Methods & Tools

About the team:

We are a transverse team working with different core engineering verticals in Airbus. The USP of this team is working in a multi-functional environment providing digital solutions to engineering problems. The team is composed of people with Core Engineering domain knowledge complemented by software development skills. The team plays an enabler role in various digitization initiatives across Airbus utilizing the latest technologies and the domain knowledge they have.

Some examples of the digital solutions are Data driven designs of wiring, Automated routing electrical harnesses, Data Analytics based products aimed at reducing physical tests of material specimens. We are also involved in developing web-based solutions to encapsulate and automate different workflows such as flight test planning, business management etc. In addition to these, developing tools for Electrical Wiring Harness and Hydraulic Circuit design process improvements. Some of the tools developed are used in the areas of Aircraft Safety analysis and Engineering Business Data monitoring etc.

M&T is also deeply involved in Agile Scrum and SAFe processes in developing state of the art digital products for the areas mentioned above.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of next Gen PLM while ensuring adherence to the Airbus Process & Methods

• Contribute to transformation of PMTD to ensure digital continuity

• Conduct in-depth discovery meetings, targeted at understanding, capturing, and identifying the complex business requirements and operational objectives of the Engineering

• Work with internal and external customers to analyze the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals

• Develop scope and define appropriately detailed specifications/backlog items (Features/User Stories) so they are clearly understood by the development teams.

• Demonstrating iteratively the results in order to get feedback from the Customer/Stakeholder

• Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.

• Contribute to major milestones for next Gen PLM 

• Contribute to creation of Business Release Dossiers 

Technical skills:

• Engineering graduate with 8+ years of experience with minimum 3+ years of relevant experience as Product owner

• Expertise on Airbus Business Design Process & Methods 

• Expertise on functional Architecture - 3DX Enovia (especially related to Business Objects, lifecycle management , Product Structure, Equipment management, Change Action)

• Knowledge and experience of PASS SSI.

• Knowledge of Data flow in 3DX environment (Engineering to Manufacturing & Customer services) & Multi view concept.

• Knowledge of P&O(People & Organization) capabilities within 3DX

• Know how of handling Generation 1/2 TDM/PDM systems (e.g., DPDS, TAKSY, GILDA, VPM) is good to have 

• Awareness of Agile methodologies and tools such as Agility,JIRA,Confluence,Kanban

• Proficiency in collaborative tools (Google Workspace, 3DX Dashboard) is good to have.

• Very good communication and presentation skills 

• Ability to demonstrate effectiveness in holding conversations with customers in a customer-centric outreach. 

• Demonstrate ability to work as a team in a highly collaborative environment.

• Ability to coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse specialists & experts.

• Ability to lead in an environment of constant change involving multiple internal processes.

You will have at least a negotiation level of English.
