What would you do? You will be aligned with our Finance Operations vertical and will be helping us in determining financial outcomes by collecting operational data/reports, whilst conducting analysis and reconciling transactions. Record to Report (R2R) is a finance and accounting process that involves collecting, processing, and delivering accurate financial data. This includes recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. The goal is to provide a clear and accurate picture of a companys financial performance. Effective R2R processes ensure compliance with accounting standards and support informed decision-making. What are we looking for? 1. General Ledger & Transaction Management Journal Entries: Preparing and posting manual journal entries (accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and adjustments). Intercompany Accounting: Reconciling transactions between different branches or entities of the same parent company to ensure they "zero out" on a consolidated level. 2. Period-End Closing (The "Close") Month-End/Year-End Execution: Following a strict calendar to "close the books." This involves ensuring all transactions for the month are captured and no further changes can be made. Account Reconciliations: Comparing general ledger balances against sub-ledgers, bank statements, or third-party data to identify and resolve discrepancies. Variance Analysis: Explaining the "Why" behind the numbers 3. Financial Reporting & Compliance Statement Preparation: Assisting in the creation of Balance Sheets, P&L (Profit & Loss) statements, and Cash Flow statements. Audit Support: Providing documentation and "walkthroughs" for internal and external auditors to prove that the company’s financial controls are working. 4. Bank Breaks Reconciliation 5.
