The Role
As a Regional Manager / Cluster Manager for Razorpay POS, you will drive offline sales and point-of-sale payment solutions across a designated geographical region as an individual contributor. This role focuses on accelerating merchant acquisition, expanding offline device deployment, and achieving regional revenue targets through direct business development and strategic merchant engagement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen Razorpay’s presence in the offline payments and POS ecosystem while building strong relationships with merchants, channel partners, and enterprise clients.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute comprehensive regional sales strategies to drive merchant acquisition and scale Razorpay POS device deployment across retail, enterprise, and SME segments.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of territory and area sales managers to consistently exceed regional revenue and portfolio growth quotas.
- Drive end-to-end accountability for the region's P&L, optimizing customer acquisition costs and maximizing device active rates and transaction volumes.
- Establish and leverage strategic relationships with key channel partners, distributors, and enterprise clients to unlock new offline payment opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and real-time transaction data to adapt regional strategies and improve market share.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 10–12 years of proven experience in B2B sales, merchant acquiring, offline payments/POS, or the payments industry,
- Strong track record of independently driving revenue growth, managing key enterprise/client relationships, and consistently achieving high-value sales targets across assigned regions or markets.
- Strong business acumen, negotiation expertise, and the ability to build strategic alliances with enterprise merchants and channel partners.
- Proficiency in utilizing AI-driven CRM platforms, sales analytics tools, and automated performance tracking systems to optimize regional sales velocity, detect churn risks, and improve forecast accuracy.
- Expertise in Salesforce (or similar enterprise CRM tools) and advanced data visualization platforms for rigorous pipeline management.
