Senior Associate - Audit Data and Analytics Specialist

 Roles & responsibilities 
Role Overview: The Senior Associate 1 -  will be part of the GDC Technology Solutions (GTS) team, working in the Audit Data & Analytics domain with a focus on Power BI–based reporting and analytics solutions. The role requires developing an understanding of KPMG’s audit methodology and proprietary analytics frameworks to support audit and internal teams. 
The role involves designing and delivering Power BI dashboards and reports, supporting data modeling and validation efforts, and ensuring insights are presented in a clear, consistent, and business‑relevant manner. They will also collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop scalable analytics solutions using a range of data and visualization technologies.
The Senior Associate 1 will be predominantly responsible for:
Power BI
Design and develop visuals, reports, and dashboard solutions in Power BI with RLS and other features as per business needs.
Hands on experience connecting to various data sources to load and transform data and Implement complex joins with multiple tables, using power query.
Highly skilled in writing DAX expressions to implement complex business calculations and data modeling needs.
Capable of developing standard data models like star schema or snowflake schema considering multiple fact and dimension tables.
Strong understanding of data structures, Data Analysis skills in identifying different trends, patterns, and other data issues within dataset and a good story telling skill using the given data.
Prepare technical specifications and documentation for solutions.
Understand business process & translate business logic into visual representations in a quick and accurate manner, perform end to end data validations.
Being proactive and engaged in bringing new ideas and solutions

Data Engineering
Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
Integrate data from multiple data sources and ensure data consistency, quality, and accuracy, leveraging Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
Develop and manage data warehouses to store and organize large volumes of structured and unstructured data using Azure Synapse Analytics and other relevant Azure services.
Optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms for performance and scalability. 
Evaluate and implement data storage solutions, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes, and cloud storage services.
Build and maintain integrations with internal and external data sources and APIs. 
Implement RESTful APIs and web services for data access and consumption. 
Ensure compatibility and interoperability between different systems and platforms

Improves data storage and access to ensure reports and dashboards load quickly and perform efficiently. 
Focuses on reducing delays in data retrieval, enabling faster and more reliable business insights.
Builds and maintains well‑structured data preparation processes to support accurate and consistent reporting. 
Ensures data quality and reliability so users can trust the insights presented in Power BI. 
Supports consistent and standardized data usage to help teams make informed, data‑driven decisions.
