We are currently seeking a Software Consultant (Cognos Reporting) to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Role - S/w Consultant
Specialization - Enterprise Business Intelligence (BI), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Mainframe Integration.

Responsibilities -
Architecture Design - Design end-to-end financial reporting solutions using IBM Cognos Analytics
ETL Orchestration - Develop complex data load processes using Turbo Integrator to pull data into TM1 cubes
Cube Modeling - Build and optimize Multidimensional Models (OLAP) for real-time financial analysis
Mainframe Integration - Manage and automate data extraction from mainframe systems using JCL and REXX scripts
Financial Reporting - Create executive-level dashboards and complex financial statements within Cognos
Performance Tuning - Optimize TM1 rules and feeders to ensure high-speed calculation performance
Legacy Automation - Maintain and update CAS 7 (Common Access System) configurations for secure data access
Data Governance - Ensure data integrity between mainframe source systems and reporting layers
Level Support (L2/L3) - Handle escalated incidents, performing deep technical analysis to identify root causes in complex "black box" AI pipelines.
Corrective Engineering - Implement source code fixes, bug adjustments, and enhancements to existing codebases to make sure system & application evolution and stability.
Process Improvement - Script automated system maintenance tasks using REXX to reduce manual overhead
Stakeholder Advisory - Translate complex financial requirements into technical multidimensional structures

Requirements -
Bachelor's degree (Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Communication/ Information Science/Telecommunications)
Experience - 12+ years in software engineering with at least 4 years in an Architect role
Expertise - Strong experience of the IBM Cognos suite (Analytics and TM1)
Mainframe Skills - Hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing
Scripting - Proficiency in REXX for mainframe automation and system exits
Modeling - Expert knowledge of Multidimensional Modeling and OLAP concepts
s/w Tooling - Advanced skills in Turbo-Integrator for data transformation and mapping
Financial Acumen - Strong understanding of Financial Reporting cycles (Budgeting, Forecasting, Consolidations).
Technical Access - Familiarity with CAS 7 for environment security and access control
Data Integration - Experience connecting heterogeneous data sources to IBM Cognos environments
Troubleshooting - Ability to debug complex batch failures in a mainframe-to-BI pipeline
Methodologies - Experience leading squads in an Agile/Scrum environment
Collaborative Mindset - Ability to work within an Agile team to deliver integration milestones
Communication - Ability to translate complex technical details into business functional terms with stakeholders
