About the role:

The Sr. Lead/ Assistant Manager, Food & Beverage will be responsible for managing and executing F&B operations across an assigned zone of WeWork India locations, ensuring high standards of service, vendor performance, and member experience. This role blends hands-on operational execution with strong vendor management and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will bring operational discipline, a member-first mindset, and the ability to manage multiple vendors and locations simultaneously. Maintaining food safety standards, driving consistent service quality, and resolving on-ground challenges with a solutions-oriented approach are critical parts of this role.

Role and Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Manage day-to-day F&B operations across an assigned zone (two zones initially, expanding over time).
  • Ensure consistent implementation of F&B standards, processes, and service protocols across all locations.
  • Conduct regular site visits and operational reviews to maintain service quality and vendor performance.
  • Work collaboratively with Community and Operations teams to address member queries and ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Identify operational gaps and drive process improvements proactively.
  • Vendor and member relationship building.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Member & Vendor Experience

  • Support initiatives to improve member satisfaction across all F&B offerings.
  • Manage end-to-end vendor relationships - from onboarding and compliance to performance tracking and quality audits.
  • Ensure all vendors meet WeWork's food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards.
  • Identify and resolve member experience issues related to food quality, service, or vendor responsiveness.
  • Work with Community teams to deliver curated food experiences, activations, and events.

Financial & Compliance Management

  • Monitor vendor commercial performance and track revenue opportunities across assigned locations.
  • Support cost management initiatives and identify opportunities to drive additional value through vendor partnerships.
  • Track operational metrics and provide regular performance updates.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with H&S policies and food safety norms.
  • Track and maintain required licenses and compliance documentation for all vendors.

New Sites & Growth

  • Lead F&B setup for new buildings and café spaces, vendor onboarding, operational readiness, and launch execution.
  • Provide inputs on vendor mix, café operations, and service planning during new site launches.
  • Support refurbishment projects and rollout of new F&B initiatives.
  • Explore new vendor partnerships and support their deployment across WeWork buildings.

People & Incident Management

  • Work with internal teams to track updates, close open points, and manage escalations.
  • Respond to and report incidents related to food quality, safety, or service concerns promptly.
  • Encourage team collaboration and help nurture a strong internal F&B network across geographies.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in hospitality, F&B operations, café chains, food courts, or multi-location food service environments.
  • Experience managing multiple vendors or outlets across locations preferred.
  • Experience in coworking or corporate dining environments is a plus.
  • Strong process orientation with excellent attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of food safety, compliance standards, and operational reporting.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and operational tools.
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate across departments.
