City Manager

Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on City Manager to lead last mile delivery operations in the city. This role involves managing time-sensitive, early morning delivery cycles, ensuring seamless doorstep delivery, and leading large on-ground teams.

The ideal candidate would be preferred from dairy industry / last mile delivery backgrounds, with strong experience in managing route-based last mile operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage end-to-end last mile delivery operations.
• Lead and manage Delivery Boys, Dispatchers, and Team Leads (50–100+)
• Ensure high on-time delivery within strict early morning timelines
• Plan and execute daily dispatch, route allocation, and beat planning
• Manage distribution hubs / milk collection & dispatch points
• Monitor key metrics: on-time delivery, route efficiency, attendance, and customer complaints
• Handle real-time operational issues (absenteeism, route gaps, demand fluctuations)
• Ensure discipline, hygiene standards, and SOP adherence across field teams
• Drive consistency in customer experience for daily deliveries

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 4–8 years of experience in dairy industry, or similar last mile models
• Strong experience managing field delivery teams and dispatch operations
• Deep understanding of early morning delivery cycles
• Hands-on and comfortable being on-ground during operations
• Background in dairy companies, milk cooperatives, or daily essentials delivery networks preferred
