Job Description
We are seeking a precise, compliance-focused Payroll & Statutory Compliance Executive. In this role, your primary mandate is to ensure 100% accurate salary computation and flawless execution of statutory obligations. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing—from client attendance collection to final bank transfers—while ensuring full compliance with PF, ESI, and government Apprentice/Trainee guidelines.
- Key Responsibilities1. End-to-End Payroll ProcessingAttendance & Input Gathering: Reconcile monthly attendance, leaves, and overtime data collected from various client systems or department managers.
- Salary Computation: Compute gross-to-net salaries, structuring components, managing LOP (Loss of Pay), bonuses, increments, and final settlements.
- Disbursement & Validation: Prepare error-free bank transfer sheets (JV files) and coordinate with finance for timely payouts.
- Distribution: Generate and distribute accurate monthly payslips to all employees.
- 2. Core Statutory Compliance & Portal OperationsPF & ESIC Management: Handle complete monthly compliance tasks on the EPFO and ESIC portals, including generating Challans (ECRs), registering new members, and updating nominations.
- Apprentice & Trainee Management: Manage the complete lifecycle on government Apprentice Portals (NAPS/NATS) and Trainee portals—from contract registration to document verification and stipend compliance.
- New Joiner Formalities: Execute statutory registrations (UAN generation, ESI IP creation) and collect/verify mandatory statutory documentation for all new joiners and trainees.
- 3. MIS, Audits & Employee QueriesCompliance Reports: Prepare and maintain payroll MIS, statutory registers, and compliance dashboards for client reporting and internal audits.
- Grievance Redressal: Function as the single point of contact for employee queries regarding salary calculations, PF withdrawals, ESI benefits, and tax deductions.
- Role RequirementsExperience: 1 to 4 years specifically dedicated to core payroll processing and statutory portal management.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced MS Excel: Master level with formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables to manipulate heavy payroll data sheets.
- Portal Proficiency: Direct experience navigating the EPFO, ESIC, and NAPS/NATS portals.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical and mathematical mindset, current knowledge of labor laws/statutory amendments, and high confidentiality.
