Job Description
1.Ward Orientation, performing initial
assessment and Categorizing the vulnerable patient
2.Monitoring vital signs, Pain assessment,
VIP
3.GCS, FAST, MEWS assessment
4.O2 administration via mask, Nasal Prongs,
Rebreathing Mask
5.Nebulization/ Steam inhalation
6.Assisting in IV cannulation
7.Starting IV fluids
8.Assisting in administration medication
9.Monitoring patients on chemotherapy
10.Assisting and monitoring of patients on
blood product transfusion
11.Assisting in collection of specimen
(Blood, Urine, Stool and Sputum)
12. Monitoring CBG
13.Assisting in taking ECG
14.Assisting patients in mobilization
15.Pre / Postoperative care
16.Drain care
17.Assisting in tracheostomy care and
suctioning
18.Assisting in ostomy care
19.Fall risk assessment & Following fall prevention strategies
20.Ryles tube checking for position,securement, feeding & aspiration
21.Pressure injury prevention strategies
22.Meeting the ADL (Activities of daily living)
23.Alerting MET & Performing CPR
24.Reporting critical values to the Nurse
25.Infection control practices / BMW
26.Escalation
27.Patient Family Education
