Account Assistant

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES – ACCOUNTANT (TALLY)

• Maintain day-to-day accounts accurately in Tally Prime

• Record all purchase, sales, receipt, payment and journal entries

• Verify and enter supplier purchase bills correctly

• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Prepare and verify supplier outstanding statements, and handle online payments via NEFT/RTGS

• Handle bank entries and perform regular bank reconciliation

• Maintain cash book and verify daily cash transactions

• Prepare GST-related data and coordinate for GST filing

• Handle TDS calculations, entries and related records

• Reconcile supplier and customer ledgers regularly

• Verify debit notes, credit notes and expense entries

• Maintain proper records of business expenses and payments

• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and other accounting reports

• Assist in finalisation of accounts and coordinate with the Auditor/CA

• Maintain proper filing of invoices, vouchers and accounting documents

• Ensure all accounting entries are updated on time and without pending work

• Identify and report any mismatch or irregularity in accounts to management immediately

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime

• Good knowledge of GST and TDS

• Experience in bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation

• Basic to good knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company financial information

• Prior experience in retail or trading company accounts will be preferred
