Role summary: Join aFlex Business Operations as a Senior Associate responsible for supporting operational execution, vendor relationships, and reporting that keep the division running smoothly. This position is based in Chennai, India and is offered as a hybrid role. This role reports to the aFlex Business Operations, Senior Manager.

Team summary: Business Operations at aFlex is responsible for enabling seamless and effective operational execution across the division. The team drives continuous process improvements, ensures delivery against leadership KPIs and unit-level metrics, and owns the development of dashboards and operational reporting. This function plays a critical role in cross-functional alignment across revenue and expense operations, utilization management, vendor management, customer service metrics, and capacity planning. Business Operations also supports governance and operational rigor across processes such as Customer Success Manager variable compensation reviews, attrition management, chargeback processes, and other core operational workflows.

Expanded description: As a member of the aFlex Business Operations team you will collaborate with finance, customer success, vendor partners, and people operations to ensure data accuracy, timely reporting, and consistent process execution. You will help produce operational dashboards, coordinate vendor onboarding and performance tracking, and support recurring governance activities. Your work will help the division meet service delivery targets, maintain cost controls, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. The team values clarity in reporting, repeatable processes, and proactive problem-solving; your contributions will be visible across stakeholders and will support decision-making at the manager and leadership levels.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage vendor relationships by tracking contracts, service levels, renewal timelines, and performance metrics. 
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards and regular reports to track key performance indicators across the division. 
  • Coordinate recurring governance activities such as weekly/monthly reviews, chargeback reconciliations, and variable compensation support. 
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, surface risks, and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Execute vendor onboarding and offboarding processes in partnership with procurement and legal teams. 
  • Support capacity planning activities by compiling utilization and workload data and preparing summaries for managers. 
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation, runbooks, and process maps to ensure consistent execution and knowledge transfer. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders on routine operational inquiries and status updates. 
  • Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., for data cleaning, report generation, or draft summarization) to increase productivity, validate outputs, and learn practical ways to apply AI in everyday workflows; share efficient patterns with the team.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with ad hoc projects such as vendor evaluations, cost analyses, or pilot initiatives. 
  • Support preparation for audits or vendor performance reviews by gathering evidence and documentation. 
  • Contribute to cross-functional improvement initiatives and help pilot small process automations or templates. 
  • Participate in periodic workshops to refine reporting definitions and align metrics across teams. 
  • Help maintain data hygiene in operational systems and escalate data quality issues when identified. 
  • Provide backup support for other Business Operations tasks during peak periods or team absences.

Expected Education & Experience:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in business operations, vendor management, or related operational roles. 
  • Demonstrated experience or exposure to vendor relationship management and contract tracking. 
  • Experience in creating and maintaining operational reports or dashboards using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or BI platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI). 
  • Familiarity with process documentation and basic governance practices. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder coordination and status reporting. 
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
