Assistant Engineering Manager - Civil & Structural Design

Assistant Engineering Manager

1) Design Basis & Engineering Calculations -Prepare and maintain the Design Basis Report (DBR) and detailed design calculation reports for civil and structural works in line with project specifications, applicable codes, and contractual requirements.

2) Structural Analysis & Design- Perform structural analysis and design using approved software tools (e.g., STAAD, MIDAS, FEM tools), ensuring safe, optimized, and constructible design solutions.

3) Interdisciplinary Coordination & Clash Resolution-Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Site, Project, QA, E&M, Geotechnical teams) and perform interference / clash checks to ensure compatibility across disciplines and timely design sign-offs.

4) Design Support to CAD/BIM Teams-Provide clear and complete design inputs to CAD designers and BIM modelers, including geometry, loads, material specifications, hand sketches, general notes, and drawing references.

5) Quantity Control & Cost Alignment- Prepare and monitor Bills of Materials (BOM) and maintain civil quantities, ensuring alignment between tender estimates and post-order quantities.

6) Quality, Documentation & Risk Management- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, QMS, and DMS requirements, maintain drawing/document registers, and proactively identify, update, and escalate design risks and opportunities.
