Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with contemporary frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with team members and adapting to evolving project needs are integral parts of the daily workflow, fostering continuous improvement and innovation in software development, We are seeking a skilled Software Testing Engineer with minimum 6 years of experience in both Automation and Manual Testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and testing methodologies, with a focus on delivering high-quality software products.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Playwright with Typescript and Selenium WebDriver with Java.
- Implement various automation frameworks, including BDD with Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, and Data Driven Framework.
- Create and maintain BDD scripts using feature files in Cucumber.
- Utilize build automation tools such as Maven, npm for project management.
- Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) with Agile-Scrum methodologies.
- Manage project tasks and track progress using JIRA or any other test management tools.
- Checkout and check in source code using Git for version control.
- Experience in BrowserStack platform would be added advantage.
- Write and optimize XPath expressions to effectively identify web elements.
- Conduct various testing types including End to End Testing, Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, and Regression Testing.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and effective testing processes.
- Implement Continuous Integration (CI) practices using Jenkins.
- Perform API testing using Postman to ensure robust functionality.


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Proven experience in software testing, both manual and automated.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Typescript and experience with Selenium & Playwright automation.
- Familiarity with BDD methodologies and tools such as Cucumber.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with tools like JIRA.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as GIT Actions, Jenkins.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Web Application Security Testing.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
