Generative AI/LLM Engineer

About the Role

Synechron is seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer with deep expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and agentic AI solutions. This role will lead end-to-end AI model development, from design and training to optimization and deployment, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will play a key role in driving innovation by integrating advanced AI capabilities into scalable, enterprise-grade systems aligned with Synechron’s AI and digital transformation strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, training, fine-tuning, and deployment of LLMs and Generative AI models
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to improve contextual accuracy and response quality
• Convert AI models into scalable APIs and microservices for enterprise deployment
• Optimize models for latency, throughput, reliability, and cost efficiency in production environments
• Build reusable ML code, data pipelines, and feature engineering frameworks for training and inference
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, product managers, cloud architects, and application teams
• Conduct research on emerging AI technologies, benchmark tools and approaches, and recommend adoption strategies
• Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and enterprise compliance standards
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior team members when required

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying machine learning models
• At least 1 year of focused experience in LLMs, Generative AI, or agentic AI solutions
• Proven experience building and deploying RAG architectures in production environments
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP services, especially BigQuery and Vertex AI
• Demonstrated success in integrating AI models into enterprise systems and workflows
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments

Technical Skills

Must Have

• Python (3.8+) – expert level
• Java – proficient (for enterprise integration)
• SQL, including BigQuery, and NoSQL databases
• Deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras
• Version control: Git
• MLOps tools: MLFlow, experiment tracking, model registry

Good to Have

• Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• API frameworks: FastAPI, Flask, Spring Boot
• Vector databases: FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma
• CI/CD pipelines for ML workloads

Cloud & Platform Expertise

• Google Cloud Platform: BigQuery, Vertex AI
• Cloud-based ML pipelines and scalable model deployment
• Understanding of model monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimization

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field
• GCP or AI/ML certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, TensorFlow Developer) are preferred
