The Role
As a Electrical Engineers - Engineer| Senior Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- We are hiring Electrical Engineers across multiple levels to support projects in the Onshore upstream and downstream (Oil and Gas, Petrochemical) experience is required.
- These roles are based in Chennai, with opportunities aligned to experience, technical capability and project requirements.
- This recruitment is part of an invite‑only hiring drive scheduled for Saturday, 9 May 2026, at our Chennai office. Interviews will be conducted only for pre‑screened candidates who receive a formal invitation from our Talent Acquisition team.
- Roles will be offered at Engineer, Senior or Lead level, depending on experience and skills.
- Compensation and grades will be aligned accordingly. Opportunities may be offered as permanent or fixed‑term positions.
What you’ll do
Depending on your experience and role level, you will:
- Shall be well versed in all Electrical Engineering Design, for both FEED and Detailed Engineering projects, with good exposure to international codes and standards.
- Candidate must have extensive working experience in the following as a minimum: Single Line Diagram, Metering & Protection Diagrams, Design Basis, Specifications, Data sheets, Electrical Load List, Sizing Calculation of all Electrical Equipment, Lighting Calculation usingVendor software’s, Procurement Support by developing Inquiry Requisition, data sheets, Technical bid evaluation, Vendor drawing reviews, Substation Design, Earthing & Lightning protection calculations, Power, Lighting, Cable routing and Earthing layouts, Cable Schedules, Interconnection diagrams and all bulk MTOs.
- Having EPC experience in 132kV/33kV GIS substation work is preferred. This includes handling 16-20MW four-stage compressors motor starting, medium voltage VFD, frequency converter, and 33/11kV substation design.
- Shall be well versed with engineering of various Electrical and Mechanical Packages.
- Prior experience of working on ADNOC, ARAMCO, QatarEnergy, QatarEnergy LNG, and OQGN projects are added advantages.
- Excellent soft skills are required. Good clarity in communication is required, with clarity in both written and verbal communication.
- Shall be able to independently guide a team of engineers and designers, with involvement in skill development, performance improvement programs and training of personnel.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- a degree in electrical engineering (B.E. or B.Tech)
8-20 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design. Onshore / Offshore upstream and downstream (Oil and Gas, Petrochemical) experience is required.
Experience in Power System Studies using ETAP/ SPEL would be desirable.
