Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in design and drafting using Autodesk Inventor. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in mechanical design and a passion for developing practical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor
• Prepare fabrication and manufacturing drawings with accurate dimensions and tolerances
• Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Collaborate with production and project teams to ensure design feasibility
• Modify and improve existing designs based on feedback and requirements
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and company guidelines
• Visit supplier/vendor facilities for quality inspection and process verification
• Monitor job manufacturing progress at vendor locations and ensure compliance with drawings/specifications
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve design and manufacturing issues
• Support troubleshooting and design validation activities

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in mechanical design
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (mandatory)
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, fabrication, machining, etc.)
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits and site inspections
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerancing
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Experience in structural, or industrial equipment design
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD or other CAD tools

Exposure to ERP systems or BOM management
