Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Client service is focused on providing Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless, high-quality, value-added support, helping deliver exceptional client service.
Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.
Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.
The Opportunity
We are looking for Senior Consultants with expertise in Payroll to join the People Consulting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a leading global professional services organisation whilst being instrumental in the growth of the People Consulting team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Leverage experience in the payroll domain to deliver Payroll transformation programs for global clients, in collaboration with other GDS teams and EY member firms
- Work on global client projects as part of a globally distributed, multidisciplinary team. Ensure quality, timeliness, accuracy, and compliance of all deliverables
- Provide domain expertise across multiple Payroll service areas such as Payroll Inputs, Gross-to-Net processing, Payroll remittances, Statutory compliance, Garnishments, Workforce management, and post-payroll reporting
- Be recognised as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of the Payroll domain
- Support development of thought leadership, collateral, tools, accelerators, methodologies and assets to enhance payroll advisory and broader workforce capability offerings within the practice
- Support design and build of AI / GenAI / Agentic AI proof-of-concepts, accelerators, and automation use cases within the Payroll practice
- Drive effective client communication and delivery cadence; build strong relationships with clients and project counterparts across global locations. Proactively manage risks and ensure excellent client and stakeholder feedback

To qualify for the role, you must have
- 5–9 years of experience in Payroll consulting and/or payroll operations
- Minimum 2 years of experience in global payroll advisory or global payroll delivery models
- Master’s degree in Finance / HR or full-time MBA
- Hands-on experience delivering payroll implementation, transformation or optimization programs as part of a global distributed team
- Prior experience working in a consulting or professional services environment
- Strong understanding of one or more payroll technology platforms such as ADP, SAP, Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle or equivalent systems
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Strong technical knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes, controls, and downstream integrations
- Strong analytical skills along with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; exposure to data analytics and dashboarding tools is an advantage
- Experience in process mapping and documentation using Visio or equivalent process design tools
- Expertise in creating SOPs, global process documentation, work instructions, and control narratives
- Active involvement in end-to-end payroll implementation, transformation, or stabilization programs
- Exposure to workforce or HR transformation initiatives enabled by cloud and digital technologies
- Experience in policy reviews, current-state payroll assessments, vendor evaluations and selections, global payroll process design, and implementation support
- Hands-on experience in payroll automation initiatives including RPA, workflow automation, and exception management
- Working knowledge of global payroll platforms such as ADP (GlobalView, Workforce Now), SAP, Workday, Oracle/PeopleSoft products, with participation in multi–workstream global transformation programs
- FPC, CPP, PMP or other payroll related certifications will be an added advantage
- Experience working closely with global payroll vendors such as ADP, SAP, Workday and third-party payroll providers
