Job Summary
The Quality Systems Project Manager serves as the Regional Quality Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) and leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality management solutions.
Important tasks
Expertise: Serve as a regional subject matter expert and primary point of contact for Q-SYS, providing expert advice and training new users to ensure effective adoption and use in the region.
Solution development: Collaborate with IT development and implementation teams to capture and meet solution requirements to ensure alignment with quality objectives.
Regional template management: Lead the creation and implementation of a standardized regional Q-SYS template to ensure consistency and efficiency in quality processes.
Continuous improvement: Identify gaps in existing systems and processes and implement improvements to optimize performance and compliance.
Gap analysis: Maintain a thorough understanding of the shortcomings in current solutions and processes and suggest actionable improvements to address them.
Global collaboration: Work closely with skilled leaders from other regions to share best practices and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and standardization.
Compliance and standards: Ensure Q-SYS is compliant with industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and customer-specific requirements to support audit readiness.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with quality systems to ensure robust failure safety and contingency plans.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management or a related field. Certificates such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PMP or CQE are a plus.
Experience: At least 5 years in quality systems or project management, with experience in QMS platforms and regional project management, preferably in the automotive industry or manufacturing.
Technical skills: Proficiency in quality management systems, project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira), and data analytics. In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and automotive quality standards.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to train diverse teams and present complex information to upper management.
Industry knowledge: Deep understanding of quality processes in the automotive industry, customer requirements (e.g. GM, Ford) and integration of quality systems.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with Q-SYS or similar quality management platforms in a regional or global context.
Multilingual competence (e.g. German, English)
Background in IT quality system integration projects or quality management of automotive suppliers.
