Job Description
Our NielsenIQ technology teams are working on building a unified, global, open data ecosystem . Our clients worldwide rely on NielsenIQ data and insights to innovate and grow. We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to be part of our Technology hub, to build and transform our factory systems, which are critical to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Approach work with an Agile mindset, applying Agile practices and principles wherever possible
- Attend and actively participate in all Sprint events to achieve expected outcomes
- Interact with stakeholders/Product Owners to clarify requirements and contribute to User Story creation
- Take responsibility for estimation, sprint planning, managing personal tasks, and reporting progress
- Collaborate closely with all team members to share ownership of the sprint backlog and overall team success
- Develop new or modified features, fix bugs, and complete any tasks required to meet business objectives
- Produce high-quality code and own the quality of deliverables, including writing and executing unit tests where applicable
- Maintain overall code quality through peer code reviews
- Assist with live releases according to the team’s release schedule
- Identify opportunities to improve team processes and propose actionable enhancements
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Python
- Strong hands‑on skills in Python, Shell Scripting, Linux, and SQL
- Basic knowledge of C++ and Cloud concepts
- Experience with Unit Testing (Pytest)
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other AI code‑assist tools
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, and common technical issues
- Good understanding of data structures and databases
- Experience conducting code reviews and applying coding standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
