Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Insurance Sales Team Leader to lead, motivate, and manage a team of insurance telecallers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, achieving business targets, coaching team members, and ensuring high-quality customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of insurance sales executives/telecallers.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and ensure they are achieved.
- Monitor team performance through regular reviews and performance reports.
- Motivate and coach team members to improve productivity and sales conversions.
- Conduct product training, sales coaching, and skill development sessions.
- Handle escalated customer queries and resolve issues professionally.
- Monitor call quality and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to management.
- Recruit, train, and onboard new team members when required.
- Develop sales strategies and action plans to improve team performance.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity within the team.
- Collaborate with management to achieve organizational sales objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in insurance sales or telecalling.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role.
- Experience in Life, Health, or General Insurance sales is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in Tamil and English (additional languages are an advantage).
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and motivational abilities.
- Good negotiation and objection-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and CRM software.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a target-driven environment.
