VisionPlus Developer - FAS

Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Vision Plus Developer to spearhead technology projects utilizing VisionPlus FAS. This role involves leading the development and implementation of innovative solutions, mentoring team members, and driving strategic technology initiatives within the organization. The position contributes to business growth by leveraging domain-specific expertise and emerging technologies to optimize processes and deliver high-value solutions.

Software Requirements

Required:

• In-depth proficiency in VisionPlus FAS, including customization, integration, and troubleshooting

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies

• Experience with emerging technologies such as blockchain, IoT, or AI is advantageous

• Familiarity with relevant programming languages and development tools used in VisionPlus environments (e.g., Java, APIs)

Preferred:

• Experience with related middleware and integration platforms

• Certifications in emerging technologies or VisionPlus modules

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead the development, configuration, and deployment of projects using VisionPlus FAS and emerging technologies

• Mentor and guide team members to ensure successful project delivery and skill development

• Identify opportunities to incorporate new technology solutions to improve business processes and operational efficiency

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical efforts with organizational objectives

• Stay current with the latest industry advancements and evaluate their potential impact on ongoing and future projects

• Provide technical oversight, review progress, and ensure adherence to best practices and standards

Technical Skills (By Category)

Programming Languages:

• Essential: Knowledge of Java and APIs used within VisionPlus ecosystem

• Preferred: Additional scripting languages for automation or customization

Databases/Data Management:

• Understanding of data structures, data management best practices, and integration points with VisionPlus

Cloud Technologies:

• Familiarity with deploying and managing support solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is advantageous

• Outcomes: Ability to design scalable, cloud-compatible solutions when applicable

Frameworks and Libraries:

• Experience with middleware, APIs, and integration frameworks used in financial software environments

Development Tools and Methodologies:

• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban project management methodologies

• Experience using tools like Git, JIRA, and Confluence for version control and documentation

Security Protocols:

• Basic understanding of security standards relevant to financial applications, such as encryption and access control mechanisms

Experience Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years working directly with VisionPlus FAS

• Proven track record of leading technology projects in banking or financial services environments

• Experience mentoring junior team members and working with multi-disciplinary teams

• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects using emerging technologies within a financial context

• Alternative experience pathways: Demonstrated success in similar core banking or core system environments with relevant certifications

Day-to-Day Activities

• Lead the technical design, development, and deployment of VisionPlus-based solutions

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members throughout project lifecycle

• Conduct code reviews, perform performance tuning, and troubleshoot system issues

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications

• Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with strategic priorities

• Research and propose new technology innovations to enhance existing systems and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Relevant certifications in emerging technologies or specialized VisionPlus modules are preferred

• Continuous learning attitude to stay at the forefront of financial technology innovations
