Job Description
- Roles & Responsibilities:Operate VMC (Vertical Machining Center) and HMC (Horizontal Machining Center) machines as per production requirements.
- Load and unload raw materials, components, and fixtures on machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Set machine parameters and offsets as instructed by the supervisor/programmer.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Change cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures when required.
- Maintain production records and report daily output.
- Identify machine abnormalities and inform the maintenance team/supervisor.
- Ensure proper coolant levels, machine lubrication, and basic machine maintenance.
- Follow 5S, safety procedures, and company quality standards.
- Minimize material wastage and machine downtime.
- Coordinate with the production and quality teams to achieve production targets.
