Job Role : Quality Assistant Manager

Job Location: Coimbatore

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured in the machine shop meet required quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role involves managing quality systems, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Looking For Quality Checking Inspector with 5-7 years’ experience for our Machine shop.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control &

AssuranceDevelop and implement quality control procedures for machining processes (CNC, VMC, Turning, etc.)

Ensure adherence to customer drawings, specifications, and tolerances

Monitor in-process and final inspections

Handle customer complaints and implement corrective actions

2. Inspection &

TestingOversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities

Ensure proper use and calibration of measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, CMM - Hexagon , Height Gauge, etc.)

Approve first article inspection (FAI) reports

3. Quality Management

System (QMS)Implement and maintain ISO standards (ISO 9001 or relevant)

Conduct internal audits and support external audits

Maintain quality documentation, SOPs, and records

4. Team ManagementLead and supervise quality inspectors and engineers

Train employees on quality standards and inspection techniques

Assign duties and monitor team performance

5. Problem Solving &

Continuous ImprovementPerform root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and failures

Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, 5S)

6. Supplier QualityEvaluate and monitor supplier quality performance

Conduct supplier audits and incoming material inspections

Work with vendors to resolve quality issues

7. Documentation &

ReportingPrepare quality reports (PPM, rejection analysis, etc.)

Maintain inspection reports, calibration records, and audit documents

Report KPIs to management

Key Skills:

·       Excellent communication skills

·       The ability to interpret data and statistics 

·       Familiar with Quality Management Systems

·       Familiarity with quality standards and processes.

·       Quality instruments Handling.

·       Handling of precision instruments

·       Drawing study.

* High Level Instruments Handling Knowledge Appreciated

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent, Fresher

Salary: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
