Senior Consultant - System Management
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA Operations Support Subject Matter Expert SME to manage and support our Oracle database systems The ideal candidate will have experience in database management performance optimization backup and recovery data integrity and troubleshooting using specific tools and technologies including Oracle RAC
Key Responsibilities
Database Management
oInstallation Configuration Upgrades Set up and maintain Oracle systems including upgrades and patches using Oracle Universal Installer OUI and DBCA
oStorage Management Allocate storage manage tablespaces and plan for future needs using Automatic Storage Management ASM
oUser Management Create and manage user accounts permissions and access using Oracle Enterprise Manager OEM and SQLPlus
oSecurity Implement and maintain protection using Oracle Advanced Security and Oracle Data Safe
Performance Optimization
oMonitoring Track performance and identify bottlenecks using OEM Real Application Testing and AWR
oTuning Tune parameters SQL queries and indexes using Oracle SQL Tuning Advisor and Database Performance Analyzer
Backup and Recovery
oBackups Regularly back up databases using Oracle Recovery Manager RMAN
oRecovery Restore databases and resolve corruption using RMAN and Oracle Data Guard
Data Integrity
oData Modeling Design and implement efficient schemas using Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler
oData Validation Ensure accuracy and consistency using Oracle Data Integrator ODI
Collaboration
oUser Support Provide training and support on database access and use
Troubleshooting
oProblem Solving Identify and resolve issues using Oracle Trace and Oracle Diagnostic Pack
oDocumentation Maintain configuration and procedure docs using Confluence and SharePoint
Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
oStrong knowledge of Oracle database systems and related technologies
oExperience with Oracle RAC Real Application Clusters for high availability and scalability
oProficiency in storage management user management and security implementation
oExpertise in performance monitoring tuning and optimization
oKnowledge of backup and recovery processes
