Job Opening: VMC Setter cum Operator

We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, and skilled VMC Setter cum Operator to join our CNC machining team. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently setting and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs), maintaining high-quality standards, and demonstrating a strong willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently perform VMC machine setting, operation, and production activities.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and technical specifications.
• Select and set cutting tools, fixtures, and work offsets as per job requirements.
• Monitor machining processes and ensure components meet quality standards.
• Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Optimize machining parameters to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow preventive maintenance practices.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and company procedures at all times.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to achieve delivery targets.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in VMC machine setting and operation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good understanding of machining processes, tooling, and CNC operations.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and GD&T is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Willingness to take ownership of assigned jobs and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, or similar CNC control systems.
• Knowledge of tool selection, cutting parameters, and fixture setting.
• Exposure to CAM software and CNC programming will be an added advantage.
• Candidates interested in learning CAM Programming and advancing their technical knowledge will be given preference.
