Production Manager

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Create and manage production calendars based on collection launches and order volumes
• Allocate styles to vendors/workshop units and monitor progress
• Ensure timely completion of sampling, bulk cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing

2. Vendor & Workshop Management

• Coordinate with tailors, karigars, embroidery units, and fabric vendors
• Negotiate timelines and ensure adherence to brand quality standards
• Maintain strong relationships with external production partners

3. Quality Control

• Implement quality checks at each stage (fabric, cutting, stitching, finishing)
• Approve pre-production samples before bulk manufacturing
• Reduce rejection rates and ensure consistent fit and finishing

4. Costing & Efficiency

• Work with sourcing/design teams on garment costing
• Optimize fabric utilization and production processes
• Identify ways to reduce wastage and improve productivity

5. Inventory & Resource Management

• Track fabric, trims, and work-in-progress inventory
• Ensure material availability to avoid production delays
• Coordinate with warehouse for dispatch readiness

6. Team Coordination

• Work closely with design, merchandising, and operations teams
• Provide daily/weekly production status reports
• Manage in-house production staff if applicable
• Required Skills & Qualifications 1–3 years experience in garment production (ethnic wear preferred)
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, fits, embroidery, and finishing techniques
• Experience working with multiple vendors and karigar clusters
• Ability to manage timelines in a high-volume fashion cycle
• Good problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Excel or production tracking tools
