Job Description
Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to assemble machinery and components.
- Fit and install mechanical parts like pumps, valves, gearboxes, and conveyors.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on plant equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and repair or replace broken parts quickly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery to modify or fabricate parts.
- Align and test completed machinery to ensure it runs safely and efficiently.
- Follow all workplace safety rules, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Requires a relevant mechanical trade certificate and 2+ years of industrial experience.
