Warehouse Executives/Frontliners

Warehouse frontliners are the backbone of supply chain logistics.

They are responsible for the physical handling, storing, and tracking of inventory.

Their primary goals are to ensure order accuracy, meet fulfillment deadlines, and maintain a safe, hazard-free workplace.

Job Description:

Receiving and Inspecting Goods

• Verify that incoming deliveries match purchase orders and invoices.
• Inspect packages and products for damage, defects, or missing items.
• Track product lifecycles and approve replacements when equipment is beyond repair or under warranty. Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranties to minimize company costs. 
• Spot-check replaced products for quality and maintain efficient turnaround times.
• Coordinate on nload delivery trucks and shipping containers.
• Document all discrepancies and log received goods into the Warehouse Management System (WMS). 

Storage and Inventory Management

• Transport and store stock in designated warehouse areas or on high shelves.
• Rotate stock to comply with FIFO (First In, First Out) policies.
• Attach barcodes or labels to inventory for easy tracking.
• Assist in regular physical inventory counts to reconcile with digital records. 

Order Picking and Packing

• Read pick lists or use digital scanners or check tally to locate and retrieve specific items from storage.
• Ensure the correct products and exact quantities are pulled for each order.
• Pack products securely using protective materials to prevent damage during transit.
• Label packages with correct shipping information, weights, and paperwork. 

Shipping and Dispatch

• Stage packed orders in the designated loading dock or dispatch area.
• Load and wrap stock onto pallets, and load them into delivery vehicles.
• Ensure all hazardous materials or fragile goods are handled and labeled according to compliance regulations. 

Safety and Facility Maintenance

• Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free workspace.
• Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects for long periods.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in picking orders and verifying inventory numbers.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfort using handheld RF scanners, computers, and WMS software.
• Time Management: Capability to meet strict shipping and order-fulfilment deadlines.
