Job Description
Service Engineer
Job brief
We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Service Engineer to handle the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operation of automation products at client sites and provide timely technical support to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
§ Install and commission automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and control panels at customer sites.
§ Provide remote and on-site support to clients for breakdowns, performance issues, and upgrades.
§ Conduct routine maintenance and health checks of installed systems.
§ Maintain detailed service reports, installation records, and issue logs.
§ Document feedback and recurring issues for continuous improvement.
§ Work closely with the Projects, R&D, and Software teams for technical support and issue resolution.
§ Coordinate with the Stores and Purchase departments for spare parts and tools.
Requirements
§ Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
§ Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
§ Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
§ Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
