Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced VAM (Vapour Absorption Machine) Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain Vapour Absorption Chillers used in industrial utility systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted chilled water supply, maintaining system efficiency, and following all safety and preventive maintenance procedures.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor Vapour Absorption Machine (VAM) systems.
• Maintain required chilled water temperature for plant operations.
• Monitor steam pressure, vacuum pressure, chilled water temperature, condenser water temperature, and solution concentration.
• Record hourly operating parameters in utility log sheets.
• Monitor Lithium Bromide solution levels and ensure proper concentration.
• Identify abnormal operating conditions and report immediately.
• Perform routine inspections of pumps, valves, cooling towers, and associated equipment.
• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Ensure safe operation of VAM equipment according to SOPs.
• Coordinate with the Utility and Maintenance teams during shutdowns and repairs.
• Maintain housekeeping in the utility area.
• Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines.
• Required QualificationsITI in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC), Attendant Operator Chemical Plant (AOCP), Fitter, or Mechanical Trade.
• OR Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience2–5 years of experience operating Vapour Absorption Machines (VAM), Absorption Chillers, Utility Plants, HVAC Systems, or Industrial Chillers.
• Experience in Food Processing, Dairy, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or Manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Technical SkillsKnowledge of Vapour Absorption Chiller operation.
• Understanding of Lithium Bromide solution handling.
• Knowledge of steam systems and vacuum systems.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA monitoring systems.
• Understanding of cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, and utility equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot vacuum loss, crystallization, pump failures, and temperature fluctuations.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Preferred CertificationsBoiler Attendant Certificate (1st or 2nd Class) – Preferred.
• Industrial Safety Training.
• HVAC or Utility Operations Certification.
