Job Title: Laravel Backend Developer

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Laravel Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs. You will work closely with frontend developers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Laravel. Design and optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and migrations. Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices (Sanctum, Passport, Gates & Policies). Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following SOLID principles. Integrate third-party services and APIs (payment gateways, email, SMS, cloud storage). Build and manage queue jobs, scheduled tasks, and event-driven workflows. Collaborate with frontend teams to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration. Set up CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments across staging and production environments. Monitor application performance, debug issues, and implement caching strategies (Redis, Memcached). Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional experience with PHP and the Laravel framework. Strong understanding of MVC architecture, Eloquent ORM, and Laravel ecosystem tools (Horizon, Telescope, Nova). Proficiency in relational databases — schema design, indexing, query optimization. Experience with RESTful API design and versioning. Familiarity with Git, Docker, and Linux server environments. Knowledge of testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest). Understanding of caching, queuing (Redis, SQS), and background job processing.
