Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and disciplined accountant who can manage daily financial operations of a jewellery retail store with accuracy and accountability. The role demands strict control over cash, billing, inventory accounting, and compliance, along with coordination with sales staff and management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Billing & Daily Accounting

* Handle customer billing (gold, diamond, silver jewellery) in Tally/software

* Maintain accurate sales entries with proper HSN codes and GST compliance

* Record cash, card, UPI, and bank transactions daily

* Ensure no billing errors or rate mismatches

2. Compliance & Reporting

* Assist in GST filing preparation

* Maintain purchase & sales registers

* Coordinate with CA for returns and audits

* Ensure proper documentation for all transactions

3. Internal Control & Discipline

* Follow strict data entry timelines (same-day closure mandatory)

* Maintain confidentiality of financial data

* Flag any irregularities, fraud risks, or unusual transactions immediately

* Strong knowledge of Tally (must-have)

* Basic understanding of GST & jewellery billing

* High attention to detail and accuracy

* Ability to handle pressure during rush hours / exhibitions

* Experience in jewellery or retail accounting (highly preferred)

* Familiar with gold/silver weight-based billing systems

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced store environment

* Someone who can take ownership, not just follow instructions
