Fashion Designer

We are hiring a Women’s Apparel Designer cum Technical Designer for Tweens Brand.

The candidate will be responsible for designing women’s T-shirts, shirts, activewear and sportswear. We are looking for someone who can research current fashion trends, create new garment designs and also understand garment measurements, size charts, fit, fabrics, sampling and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research latest trends in women’s T-shirts, shirts, activewear and sportswear.
2. Create new garment designs as per market trends and brand requirements.
3. Prepare design concepts, reference images, flat sketches and basic CADs.
4. Create measurement sheets, size charts and garment specifications.
5. Prepare basic tech packs with fabric details, trims, stitching details, branding placement and finishing requirements.
6. Work on women’s T-shirts, shirts, activewear tops, sportswear tops, leggings, joggers, track pants and similar styles.
7. Coordinate with pattern master, sampling team, vendors and production team.
8. Check samples for fit, measurements, fabric fall, stitching and finishing.
9. Give sample correction comments and ensure final sample is production-ready.
10. Suggest fabrics, trims, colors and styling details as per category.
11. Coordinate for fabric sourcing, vendor follow-up, market research and production feasibility.
12. Study competitors and online platforms to create commercially sellable designs.
13. Ensure designs are trendy, comfortable, practical, cost-effective and suitable for bulk production.

Software Knowledge:

Candidate should have basic knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets for measurement sheets. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Photoshop, Canva or any fashion design software will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate:

Candidate should have experience in women’s wear, casualwear, western wear, activewear, sportswear, athleisure, export house, garment manufacturing unit or apparel brand.

This is not only a sketching/designing role. Candidate must understand garment fit, measurements, size charts, sample checking and practical production requirements.
