Food Technologist – Beverage Industry

We are hiring a Food Technologist with hands-on experience in the beverage manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for beverage formulation, new product development (NPD), quality enhancement, stability testing, and supporting commercial production processes.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of beverage ingredients, formulation techniques, shelf-life studies, and food safety compliance.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and formulate new beverage products such as:
• Fruit juices
• Soft drinks
• Flavored beverages
• Health drinks
• Functional beverages
• Conduct laboratory trials, pilot batches, and commercial production scale-up activities.
• Optimize flavors, ingredients, formulations, and production costs.
• Improve product stability, shelf life, and overall quality.
• Research market trends and develop innovative beverage concepts.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations and food safety standards.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Quality teams during product development and commercialization.
• Prepare and maintain formulation records, batch sheets, SOPs, and technical documents.
• Troubleshoot issues related to taste, texture, stability, and processing.
• Evaluate raw materials, flavors, additives, preservatives, and packaging compatibility.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for existing products.
• Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in:
• Food Technology
• Food Science
• Dairy Technology
• Or a related field
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in beverage manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of beverage formulation and product development.
• Knowledge of:
• Preservatives
• Emulsifiers
• Flavors
• Sweeteners
• Beverage processing techniques
• Familiarity with FSSAI regulations, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
• Experience conducting laboratory and production trials.
• Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and technical documentation.
• Preferred ExperienceExperience with:
• Carbonated beverages
• Fruit-based beverages
• Energy drinks
• Dairy beverages
• Nutraceutical beverages
• Exposure to packaging development and shelf-life studies.
• Experience working with contract manufacturing units or commercial beverage plants will be an added advantage.
